Dear All,

At this end of 2012, the www.unlweb.net has several reasons to celebrate:

*The UNLarium is reaching the amount of 1,500,000 UNLdots, in more
than 35 languages, provided by more than 800 users, in several
different projects (LPP, IGLU, UNL MIR 1, UNL MIR 2, L&S)
*We have launched a new program (UNL2015) and three new projects
(LACE, MIR-A1, BRUNO-A1)
*VALERIE issued more than 500 certificates, and we had 15 interns in
our internship program
*We promoted three workshops (Geneva, Mumbai and Alexandria) and one
panel (at the Coling 2012)
*We launched the version 1.0 of our analysis and generations systems
(IAN and EUGENE, respectively)
*The UNLwiki has now more than 400 pages, and the UNLforum more than 1,700 posts
*We set the FoR-UNL framework to evaluate objectively our achievements
*We launched the I UNL Olympiad
*We started the revision of our specifications

None of this would have been possible without the active participation
of the UNL Community. In this spirit we say, once again, simply but
sincerely, thank you very much for your key contribution. Our best
wishes for the Holiday Season. And a happy New Year. May it see our
hopes for a better world fulfilled: a world where language may unite,
rather than isolate.
