Crowdfunding project: a free online dictionary of Baatonum

Dear UNL Community,

For the past years, the UNDL Foundation has been promoting the
development of language resources in several languages with the
support of generous donors that, unfortunately, had to limit their
sponsorship. While we are still trying to find alternatives to keep
fostering less-resourced languages, we are also experimenting other
strategies of fund raising, such as crowdfunding.

In that sense, we have just launched a crowdfunding pilot project on
the Indiegogo platform for the development of Baatonum, the language
of the Bariba people in Africa, for which we have very few resources.
This new fundraising initiative is the starting point of hopefully
many others targetting other less-resourced languages of Africa and we
would very much appreciate your support in sharing the link hereunder
