The UNL System defines the modules and the architecture .
Components
The components of the UNL System are the following:
- the UNL itself, i.e, the set of UW's, relations and attribute's, and the UNL Document Structure, which is the set of rules to combine them;
- the lingware, i.e., the set of lexical databases (dictionaries, knowledge bases and example bases) and grammars that are used to process the UNL and each natural language
- the software, i.e., the set of tools (for UNLization, NLization and normalization) and applications that can be generated thereafter.
Standards
- Tagset
- The Tagset is a harmonized system for representing linguistic constants.
- Dictionary Specs
- The Dictionary Specs state the syntax of dictionaries.
- Grammar Specs
- The Grammar Specs state the syntax of grammar rules.
- KB Specs
- The UNL Knowledge Base Specs state the syntax of the knowledge bases.
- Memory Specs
- The Memory Specs state the syntax of the example bases.
