MWE

Multiword Expressions or MWE are "a sequence of words that acts as a single unit at some level of linguistic analysis, with some of the following features:
- reduced syntactic and/or semantic transparency;
- reduced compositionality;
- more or less frozen status;
- violation of general syntactic rules;
- high degree of lexicalisation;
- high degree of conventionality"[1]
